UDT Tech Fund (United Dutch Technologies Tech Fund) invests in promising, young, hardware-focused tech companies. By investing our knowledge, expertise and capital, we aim to make a successful contribution to the long-term development of these companies. The companies we invest in have a clear IP strategy, focus on hardware-driven technology development and target a broad, global market. These characteristics are essential to us and, thanks to the close collaboration with VDL Groep and Demcon, they offer the potential for expedited upscaling and growth.

Where necessary or desired, we prefer being an actively involved shareholder, facilitating the companies we invest in by providing hands-on management and operational and commercial support. What's more, we can introduce their launching customers to VDL Groep and Demcon at an operational and management level.

We offer young and innovative companies the venture capital they need during their development phase. We can support them through equity investments or more hybrid structures, such as subordinated and convertible loans. Financing arrangements for production lines and one-off systems are also possible.

The knowledge and expertise they bring to the table are available at arm's length to the start- and scale-up businesses UDT invests in. The combination of venture capital from UDT and the opportunity to actively engage with Demcon and VDL Groep as engineering and/or production partners gives us unique added value compared to other investment funds. With their unique position in the high-tech and deep-tech markets, VDL Groep and Demcon possess the knowledge, the expertise and the network to take start- and scale-ups to the next level. In addition to an investor and a coach, start- and scale-ups also gain a sparring partner for substantive technical matters.
