Demcon gaat een samenwerking aan met TNO en de Universiteit Twente om de laag-energiemodulatie van silicium-nitride (SiN) fotonische chips te versnellen. Deze geavanceerde fotonische chips zijn in staat goedkopere, snellere en energiezuinigere apparaten te creëren, waardoor eerdere ziekte-diagnostiek, veilige zelfrijdende voertuigen en efficiëntere datacommunicatie mogelijk worden. Door hun expertise te bundelen, zullen Demcon, Universiteit Twente en TNO aanzienlijke vooruitgang boeken in de technologie van fotonische chips.

Demcon has entered into a collaboration with TNO and the University of Twente to accelerate the development of low‑energy silicon nitride (SiN) photonic chips. By combining expertise in integrated photonics, thin‑film deposition equipment and applied research, we aim to advance photonic chip technology that enables faster, more energy‑efficient applications in areas such as data communication, medical diagnostics and autonomous systems.
