There are worse ways to celebrate an anniversary than with fresh Brabant-style sausage rolls. Especially when Demcon high-tech systems has been firmly rooted in the Eindhoven region for fifteen years already. That’s why we recently treated all our Demcon locations to something that fits the region perfectly: warm, savory, and authentically Brabant-style.

The Dutch government will invest €102.5 million in the country’s medical technology sector over the next ten years. The joint commitment of the Ministries of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy and of Health, Welfare and Sport underlines that medical technology not only contributes to future-proof healthcare, but also creates opportunities for innovation, economic activity and the earning potential of the Dutch economy. Within this national MedTech growth plan, the Twente-based Hospitals of the Future initiative will play a key national role as one of three lines of action.

Voor het nauwkeurig en ongestoord meten bij extreem lage temperatuur heeft big-science project Einstein Telescope (ET) koeling nodig die trillingsvrij is. Het consortium, bestaande uit Demcon kryoz, Universiteit Twente en Cooll, werkt aan een oplossing op basis van sorptiekoeling, een principe dat al wordt toegepast in cryogene microkoelers. Momenteel bouwen zij trillingsvrije koelers op macroformaat, zo grootschalig wordt dit voor cryogene applicaties nog nergens toegepast. Hiermee werkt het consortium aan een unieke propositie voor trillingsvrije cryocoolertechnologie.
