National boost for Hospitals of the Future

The Dutch government will invest €102.5 million in the country’s medical technology sector over the next ten years. Wereldprimeur met bouw van hoogvermogen-sorptiekoelers

Voor het nauwkeurig en ongestoord meten bij extreem lage temperatuur heeft big-science project Einstein Telescope (ET) koeling nodig die trillingsvrij is. Het consortium, bestaande uit Demcon kryoz, Universiteit Twente en Cooll, werkt aan een oplossing op basis van sorptiekoeling, een principe dat al wordt toegepast in cryogene microkoelers. Momenteel bouwen zij trillingsvrije koelers op macroformaat, zo grootschalig wordt dit voor cryogene applicaties nog nergens toegepast. Hiermee werkt het consortium aan een unieke propositie voor trillingsvrije cryocoolertechnologie.
